Are your scents made for pets?
While are scents are enjoyed by many pets including our own, our scents are not specifically made for pets.
Are your scents safe for pets?
Yes, our scents are safe for pets to smell. Though, just like humans, fragrances can be bothersome to some animals especially if they have underlying or pre-existing breathing issues. Please be mindful if your pets are sensitive when using scented products.
Are your oils safe for pets?
We strongly advise you DO NOT USE OIL (diffuser, linen spray, body spray, pure fragrance oil) on your pet as these oils can be toxic and harmful to them. If it is a high traffic area, be careful where the oils are sprayed and make sure the area is fully dry before your pet re-visits.
Do pets make your products?
No, unfortunately we do not employ any pets to make our products though we have had many apply. While not employed, our two in-house cats (Frankie and Momo) constantly watch our products being made and check for quality issues. They are quick to point out any mistakes.
What type of wicks do you use?
Our wicks are constructed of all natural cotton wicks with thin paper filaments woven in for better burn stability. The wicks are also coated with a high melt point wax to assist in burning.
What type of wax is used in your candles?
We use GoldenBrands 444 in all our candles. It is a 100% soy wax with soy based additives to enhance fragrance and reduce frosting.
What is the shelf life of your candles?
Our candles are 100% soy wax and we do not add preservatives to our candles. For this reason, we advise to use your candle within a year to prevent any degradation in scent or wax.
What is the burn time of your candles?
Our single wick 10oz candle containers carry 8 ounces of soy wax and are rated for a burn time of 40-50 hours.
Our triple-wick 16oz candle containers carry 14 ounces of soy wax and are rated for a burn time of 30-40 hours. While the 16oz container is bigger and will disperse more fragrance, it melts more wax with three wicks and may have less burn time than its single wick counterpart.
How come my candle doesn't look perfect?
Pure soy wax can show more imperfections than other waxes such as parrafin. Air bubbles can naturally get trapped and are common in handpoured and commercially made candles. These imperfections are usually caused from the shrinkage as wax cools inside the glass vessel. Imperfections such as these won't affect your candle burning experience, your candles will still smell and burn great!
